Privacy Policy

What this site does — and does not — do with your information. In plain English.

The short version: ClaimTalk does not collect, store, or process any personal data about you. There are no cookies, no analytics, no contact forms, and no accounts. You can use this site without leaving any trace of your visit.

This policy exists because UK data protection law requires it — even for sites that collect nothing. It explains what that means in practice.

Who we are

ClaimTalk (claimtalk.co.uk) is a free, independent guidance site for personal injury claimants in England and Wales. It is not a law firm. It does not take cases. It is not affiliated with the Official Injury Claim portal, any insurer, or any claims management company.

This site is operated as a personal project in the public interest, providing free guidance to people navigating the OIC claims process without legal representation.

Personal data

None collected. ClaimTalk does not collect any personal data from visitors. The site does not operate:

Visitors can read all content and use all tools on the site without providing any personal data.

What you might expectWhat ClaimTalk actually does

Analytics (Google Analytics etc.)Not installed. No visitor tracking of any kind.
Contact formsNone. No data submitted to us.
User accounts / loginNone. No registration required.
Email collectionNone. No newsletter sign-up.
Third-party scriptsNone loaded. No advertising networks, social widgets, or tracking pixels.

Interactive tools

ClaimTalk includes two interactive tools: the Check Where I Stand checker and the Limitation Calculator. Both run entirely in your browser. No data from either tool is transmitted to ClaimTalk or any third party. The answers you enter and the results you see remain on your device only and are discarded when you close the page.

Hosting and technical data

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most websites, limited technical information may be processed automatically by the hosting infrastructure. This may include IP addresses, browser type, request logs, and basic technical data required for website delivery. This processing is handled by Cloudflare for security, performance, and reliability purposes and is governed by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. ClaimTalk does not receive, store, or have access to this data.

Fonts and external resources

All fonts used on this site are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, or any other external font service. No external CSS, JavaScript, or other resources are loaded from third-party servers.

Data protection law

ClaimTalk operates in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable UK data protection law. The site is designed to minimise the processing of personal data wherever possible.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, individuals have rights regarding their personal data — including rights to access personal data held about them, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion, and restrict or object to certain processing.

Because ClaimTalk does not collect or hold any personal data from visitors, these rights will rarely apply in practice. If you believe this is incorrect, please get in touch using the contact details below.

The UK supervisory authority for data protection is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). You can find out more at ico.org.uk. If you have an unresolved concern, you may raise it with the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Updates to this policy

This policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes to the website or applicable legal requirements. If the nature of this site changes in a way that affects privacy — for example, if a contact form or analytics were added — this policy would be updated before those changes went live. The most recent version will always be published on this page.
